Celebrate MissionSAFE’s 26 years of Rebuilding Lives and Empowering Boston's Youth

MissionSAFE is hosting its annual event —A Night of Futures, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. The event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, featuring a new format that highlights stories of lives transformed by the power of MissionSAFE’s Trauma/Resilience Approach, as told by our youth. This theme isn’t just about MissionSAFE’s life-changing programs — it’s about our shared commitment to never giving up on at-risk youth who need us most. Your support at A Night of Futures will open doors for those from the Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mission Hill low-income communities who have spent years waiting for someone to believe in them.

Join our event chair, Ronnie Koning Jr., to celebrate MissionSAFE Empowering Boston's Youth. The event will feature a MissionSAFE-branded exhibit wall featuring the youth and our top donors, a fun cabaret reception format, a dine-around, youth performances, a live auction, and live entertainment. The highlight of the evening will be an awards presentation honoring Damon Hart and Nicole Obi with the MissionSAFE Humanitarian Award, as well as an award presented to one of MissionSAFE’s resilient youth, Kayla Clouden-McGill. The night’s program will be followed by live entertainment from the Yak Band.

The event promises to be a passionate night of stories and A Night of Futures you'll never forget. Join us. You have the power to make a difference!

About MissionSAFE

For over two decades, MissionSAFE has been a crucial presence for high-risk and high-opportunity youth in Boston, empowering them to overcome the challenges of poverty, violence, and systemic inequities. At the heart of our work is a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the profound impact of ongoing adversity, as well as the transformative power of healthy relationships, safe places, horizon-broadening experiences, and staff-bridged, increasingly larger accomplishments by youth.

We provide safe and nurturing spaces for youth ages 11 to 24 to focus on personal growth and healing, educational improvement, leadership, critical thinking, financial literacy, job readiness, and to participate in horizon-broadening experiences, community service, civic engagement, and paid internships. We emphasize the whole person within the context of their lives—family, school, community—by creating individual action plans and partnering with each youth to create and move forward with future goals. We provide case management, ongoing nutrition training and meals, and ongoing fitness training and practice. Our trauma-informed approach meets youth where they are, fostering resilience and self-awareness and equipping young people with the motivation and tools they need to transform their lives and contribute to their communities.

Our work doesn’t end there. Together, we identify and address the systemic causes of inequity, creating a ripple effect of change that empowers families and communities. Every success story represents a step towards breaking the cycles of poverty, violence, and hopelessness while building futures filled with hope and opportunity.
